For some reason I don't know and probably don't want to know, the monthly goth night at the Webster Underground is no longer called Bound, but Dark Millennium. Fine, whatever.

For some other reason I don't know, they still think it necessary to have a monthly theme. Since nobody bothers to dress for it much, I can't see why.

This last Saturday's was Go West. "Leather cowboys and vinyl Indians," they said.

What they got? About what you'd expect: a couple of curvy girls in bra, panties, and chaps, and a half-dozen others in standard gothy club clothes who'd stuck cowboy hats on top.

Including me, actually. Since I have a very nice black leather cowboy hat with silver conchos, after all.

Even so, it was a fun night -- not only [livejournal.com profile] cherrybutterfly and [livejournal.com profile] number42, but [livejournal.com profile] madraxus, and Libby, and a couple of VERY plastered friends of hers, Heather and Julie, who were awfully cute. And stompy dancing was had.

Next month is "Back to School," which means that everyone will drag out their plaid miniskirts. Um, yeah, including me.

Themes. A Jedi craves not these things.

Don't even get me started. It comes down to an issue of people wanting to take over and such, basically if I went into it now it'd sound like drama. So no, there's no longer a Bound in Hartford, and shame on Webster for trying to still use the name.

No, see, they're NOT using the name any more, it's got a new name. Otherwise, it's still same bat time, same bat channel, and same old dumb themes.

Goths in cowboy hats. It is to laugh.

Yeah, but I believe the Webster itself was using it on their web site.

The thought of you in a plaid schoolgirl skirt...

Ummm, that's an interesting thought.

I'm not buying a new skirt. It's gonna be the same black Tripp buttruffle with the yellow plaid insets, I've linked to pics before!

Hee. Now I'm picturing Jedi theme parties. Let's see...pool party? Done that. Belly dancing? Well, if you count Talandra, done that. Toga party? Jedi robes could probably convert to togas without too much trouble...

...okay, I'm being silly. This is what happens when I spend too much time transcribing.

I'm like 5 months late - but I wear a cowboy hat all the time!

Mind you, along with cowboy boots, jeans and a western shirt - not with spooooooky clothes.
