Just for the record, when you work on your feet for eight to twelve hours at a stretch, and are facing another eight-hour shift the next day, it is not recommended to dance energetically from 9:30 PM to 1:30 AM. Especially when you have to get in to work at 5:30 AM.

However, if you go see Rathkeltair, throw that recommendation out the window. Because you WILL want to dance.

It was pretty much the same show as last week at the Half Door, same set list, very nearly the same order. They had Nick, their regular drummer, with them instead of the guy who was there last week. Collier was in jeans, not a kilt. Vaughn's, on Pratt Street, has a very long narrow layout, and there was less room for dancing.

Which did not stop me.

I danced for all the tunesets. During the one of jigs, I was beguiled by the six-count, and, since I know no stepdancing whatsoever, dragged an old SCA galliard onze-pas out of my memory. Front-back-swing-swing-front-back-swing-cut-swing-cut-posture. I kept fluffing the posture at the end, so I'd bounce for a few beats until I picked up the start of a six-count again.

And they did that cover of "Blister in the Sun / Add It Up" again. *wild shriek of joy* After a long tuneset, the sadistic freaks. But I danced.

They also did an interesting cover of "Walk on the Wild Side" that segued into "You Can't Always Get What You Want" before it segued back into "Walk on the Wild Side." [livejournal.com profile] immlass, I wish you could have heard it.

If they're playing anywhere near you, DO go see them. You won't regret it.

And Collier is still really, really cute.
