Rest in peace, Kragar.
Aug. 28th, 2004 10:15 pmWe went to give him his second dose of antibiotics this evening.
He'd seized again.
I decided to stay with him, on my lap, in the toy room where we'd been keeping him so we could find him to medicate him.
After a while, he started making gasping, coughing breaths, as if he were trying to hack up a hairball.
And he was drooling again.
I called in <lj user="shadowflyer" to see what he thought. He didn't know either. Then Kragar's bladder cut loose. On me. And he went limp. No heartbeat. No breathing. Goodbye, Kragar. You will be missed.

Date: 2004-08-28 09:16 pm (UTC)I'm glad you were able to be with him. I'm glad you didn't have to make the decision to do it yourself and that he didn't have to make the passage in a scary, unfamiliar place. I'm sorry our prayers didn't last longer...
