A productive weekend
Jun. 29th, 2003 10:03 pmMy friend Jet said she'd be over at 7:30 AM Saturday to bring me her cat, Harley, whom I'm adopting. So I had to be up at 6:30 AM to make sure the cat box was scrubbed out so it'd be clean and relatively free of territorial scents from Kragar and Khaavren, the cats we had already. That didn't take an hour, so I sat down to work on the striped linen apron I was making for my interpreter outfit.
Jet didn't get here until about 10 AM. I got LOTS of work done on the apron. I finished it tonight.
I also did some laundry, made the Cook's Illustrated coconut cake for Christy's birthday today, did the grocery shopping, and bought a new set of size 5 knitting needles so I could keep working on the Gryffindor scarf I'm making for Charlotte.
If anyone sees a single yellow plastic size 5 knitting needle, could you send it back to me, please? I'm sure it's slipped through a space-time wormhole or something and heaven only knows where it's wound up.
