Seen all over my friendslist, propagated because I went ahead and asked questions of [livejournal.com profile] srichard

I want everyone who reads this to ask me 3 questions, no more no less. Ask me anything you want. Then I want you to go to your journal, copy and paste this allowing your friends (including myself) to ask you anything.

1) What is your favorite confection to make?

Oh, that's a tricky question. There are so many good things in the world.

I think it'd have to be my grandmother's strudel, which uses a rugelach dough, because the cream cheese dough rolls so beautifully, and there's the memories of her teaching me how, and I never worry about whether it will work right, unlike some other things I make.

2) If you were not writting HP fanfic, would you be writting?

Oh, probably -- but it'd likely be character background stories, for Amber or Star Wars, which would make them first cousins to fanfic. I haven't gotten any original-fiction bunnies biting my ankles yet, and outside of grade school creative writing assignments, I never really have. Maybe someday.

3) What's your favorite season?

Early summer once the tree pollen season is over.

What would you do if you lost the internet?

If you had to rely on only one sense, which would it be?

What would you do if you lost the internet?

Whine and cry and run up huge phone bills and singlehandedly support the post office and Kinko's with an addiction to paper fanzines.

If you had to rely on only one sense, which would it be?

It would have to be sight, but I would deeply miss touch and taste, far more so than hearing.

What's your favorite color?

Green, in all its lovely variety.

1. When did you first start RPing?

Fifth grade. The new girl, Anita, who loved Anne McCaffrey as much as I did, introduced me to Dungeons & Dragons.

2. What prompted you into Online Gaming?

PBeMs advertised on the Amberlist, around 1997.

3. How much travel/conventions have you done?

For gaming, not much. Back around 1989-1992, I was awfully active in East Coast SF convention fandom, and travelled about every month for it.

1)Londo or G'Kar?

Londo. And his... attributes. Heh.

2)Why did you decide to get a house so young ? And why Connecticut?

Twenty-six doesn't seem THAT young to me -- we'd been married five years, we had the baby, and the neighborhood the apartment was in was definitely going downhill. I lost a couple of family valuables to break-ins. And I'd read about programs that would really knock down the expense of buying a house if we bought in the city. And there were gorgeous big Victorians of the kind I'd always wanted just a few blocks away, and yet those few blocks made an enormous change in the neighborhood crime rate...

Connecticut because that's where my husband grew up, and in-state tuition for UConn Law School was very much a deciding factor in where he went. If it hadn't been a factor, I would have preferred the Boston area, but such is life.

3)Which cooking school did you go to?

Connecticut Culinary Institute. Chosen because I could reach it on the bus line from my house, more than for reputation or price or anything. I feel I got a reasonably solid education, not CIA standard, but I wasn't really going with ambitions of being a world-class chef; I wanted a decent credential that would help me keep working in a field I'd already discovered that I loved. I've had to learn that despite my inner Hermione, it isn't necessary to be the best at everything I try -- Good Enough can be a source of happiness too.

I've just done the same by asking questions of someone! oh well.

1) What are cthulhu plushies??!! (and how do you say that word?!)
2) Where would you most like to travel to (and haven't yet been)
3) What do you see when you look out your computer room( ie where your computer is and assuming it has a window!) window?
