1) Today I made a Cobb Salad Burger at work: chicken burger, two strips of bacon welded onto the top bun with melted blue cheese, lettuce and tomato, bottom bun has 1/4 sliced avocado and a little mayo. Om nom nom. I told Derek what I was making. We'll see if it turns up as a special.

2) We ran out of small deli containers! I don't understand what happens to them, since we wash and reuse them. But we were so seriously out of them that I'm going to have to portion the pulled pork tomorrow.

3) I have a mosquito bite right next to my belly button. ITCH ITCH ITCH ITCH.

4) Acquired a theoretically working printer through Freecycle, an HP Photosmart 7350. It powers on. It has an ink cartridge. I attempted to download the needed drivers from the website. I ran the installer. It's still not cooperating. Advice welcome, barter spoken.

5) The kiddo acquired an amazingly cute dress at ConnectiCon for $10, which is rescued from excessive shortness if she wears it over my red crinoline. She laments that she has nowhere to WEAR such a confection. I guess she'll have to wait for Arisia.

She can wear said confection for the picture you need to post.

How is the printer not cooperating?

What happens if you press the magic sequence of buttons to print a self-test page?

How old is the ink cartridge? They typically dry out if not used frequently.

Test page prints. It's a pretty orchid.

When I try to print a random Gmail page, it doesn't. The job shows up in the queue, but the page never gets to the printer.

Sounds like the printer is healthy, but the problem is on your computer.

On your computer, try checking the printer's properties and make sure that the proper port is listed, and the other settings make sense.

Printer (of course)

Did you install the software with the printer plugged in or not? Usually the printer should NOT be plugged in first.

If you're still having issues, I could come by Saturday - Sunday is chock-full of appliance-moving and would not be good.

Ah, I did not know that the printer shouldn't be plugged in. Should I unplug and run the installer again?

Aye. Unplug the printer, uninstall and then reinstall the software. If you're loading the full suite, it'll tell you when to plug the printer in - otherwise, install and then plug it in.
