We rock SO HARD.
Jul. 7th, 2007 05:05 pmAs is my wont when I am keyed up, I could barely sleep, and even though I had the luxury of sleeping in until past work star, I was awake before five.
Tried to grab some extra shut-eye, and didn't really make it. Luckily, the Stop & Shop is a 24-hour store. So I went out and bought three packs of Gatorade, some Diet Pepsi (since
eternaleponine's mom drinks it), some Code Red, a water dispenser with a spigot, and a bunch of ice cube trays. And a water fountain thingummy for Khaavren, since he won't have a leaky tub to drink from.
And then I went and loaded up the fridge at the new place with the drinks, and went to get bagels for our breakfast.
After breakfast, I put some boxes and things in the station wagon, went to AAA to fix the renters' insurance, dropped off the boxes, replaced the belt on the vacuum, vacuumed
eternaleponine's rug, left
naivefreedom to assemble the Desk of Awesomeness, dropped off donation thingies at the Salvation Army, and went back.
eternaleponine's family had just arrived, so they were starting to load her stuff on the truck. I told
melovechocolate to start putting her stuff in boxes so we could get to her bed to disassemble it, put more of my boxes in the car, and went back to collect
naivefreedom from the new place so he could help haul Stuff.
When I got back, they were pretty much done putting
eternaleponine's stuff on the truck, and we weren't ready to load up ours, so I let them go while we worked on disassembly, clearing MY room for packing, and all that jazz.
Eventually
khemicalx and Krysta woke up. Krysta had to go to work, but first she helped us catch Khaavren and put him in the carrier. We brought him and his stuff over and shut him in the upstairs bathroom with
melovechocolate. I made sure she had stuff to read so she wouldn't be too bored.
Then the rest of
melovechocolate and my stuff got on the truck -- mostly courtesy of
naivefreedom,
khemicalx, and
eternaleponine's brother, with her mom directing and her dad cooperating.
naivefreedom and
khemicalx even brought my antique sewing machine (which weighs a ton) down from the third floor.
All the big items are in the house. Lots of boxes are too. There are other things we need to bring over (like kitchen contents!), but we're in really, really good shape, and ready to return the truck. The beds are assembled. It's all looking pretty good!
Tomorrow: more box stuff, and of course the UNpacking.
It's really good we have another week.
I fall down go boom now.

Date: 2007-07-09 02:23 pm (UTC)Every time a Honda Element drives by, we make pinching motions at it and say, "I peench." I dunno what it is about it... just one of those things.
Another one is that darn walrus and his bucket... we just can't stop. "I FOUND MAH BUKKIT!" (This was in Home Depot yesterday, as
