As is my wont when I am keyed up, I could barely sleep, and even though I had the luxury of sleeping in until past work star, I was awake before five.

Tried to grab some extra shut-eye, and didn't really make it. Luckily, the Stop & Shop is a 24-hour store. So I went out and bought three packs of Gatorade, some Diet Pepsi (since [livejournal.com profile] eternaleponine's mom drinks it), some Code Red, a water dispenser with a spigot, and a bunch of ice cube trays. And a water fountain thingummy for Khaavren, since he won't have a leaky tub to drink from.

And then I went and loaded up the fridge at the new place with the drinks, and went to get bagels for our breakfast.

After breakfast, I put some boxes and things in the station wagon, went to AAA to fix the renters' insurance, dropped off the boxes, replaced the belt on the vacuum, vacuumed [livejournal.com profile] eternaleponine's rug, left [livejournal.com profile] naivefreedom to assemble the Desk of Awesomeness, dropped off donation thingies at the Salvation Army, and went back.

[livejournal.com profile] eternaleponine's family had just arrived, so they were starting to load her stuff on the truck. I told [livejournal.com profile] melovechocolate to start putting her stuff in boxes so we could get to her bed to disassemble it, put more of my boxes in the car, and went back to collect [livejournal.com profile] naivefreedom from the new place so he could help haul Stuff.

When I got back, they were pretty much done putting [livejournal.com profile] eternaleponine's stuff on the truck, and we weren't ready to load up ours, so I let them go while we worked on disassembly, clearing MY room for packing, and all that jazz.

Eventually [livejournal.com profile] khemicalx and Krysta woke up. Krysta had to go to work, but first she helped us catch Khaavren and put him in the carrier. We brought him and his stuff over and shut him in the upstairs bathroom with [livejournal.com profile] melovechocolate. I made sure she had stuff to read so she wouldn't be too bored.

Then the rest of [livejournal.com profile] melovechocolate and my stuff got on the truck -- mostly courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] naivefreedom, [livejournal.com profile] khemicalx, and [livejournal.com profile] eternaleponine's brother, with her mom directing and her dad cooperating. [livejournal.com profile] naivefreedom and [livejournal.com profile] khemicalx even brought my antique sewing machine (which weighs a ton) down from the third floor.

All the big items are in the house. Lots of boxes are too. There are other things we need to bring over (like kitchen contents!), but we're in really, really good shape, and ready to return the truck. The beds are assembled. It's all looking pretty good!

Tomorrow: more box stuff, and of course the UNpacking.

It's really good we have another week.

I fall down go boom now.

Maybe little pinch?

DUDE, I found the crab commercial on YouTube, and now T and I are saying around the house: "Maybe little pinch?" "I've got some melted butter and some tongs in here -- " "No pinch, no pinch -- no pinch."

HAHAHAHA. This household is so overly amused by that commercial... to the point where when we saw a cartoony crab bathmat, we actually bought it for my bathroom. (I needed one anyway.) I kinda love it, though.

You DID, aww, that's adorable!

Dude, I do not know why that ad is so hysterical, but T and I have been constantly re-enacting it (I am the crab. But of course). "No peench, no peench....no peench."

Have you seen the sequel, with the lobster? "Did you let him... peench you?" If you haven't, you need to!

Every time a Honda Element drives by, we make pinching motions at it and say, "I peench." I dunno what it is about it... just one of those things.

Another one is that darn walrus and his bucket... we just can't stop. "I FOUND MAH BUKKIT!" (This was in Home Depot yesterday, as [livejournal.com profile] rikibeth hugged a stack of bright orange paint buckets.)

Hi! I'm Eponine, aka [livejournal.com profile] rikibeth's housemate, aka BriAnne. Who really should be doing something productive since I called out of work to be productive... but catching up on email and LJ counts, right? :-D

We won't have internet at the new place until Friday, so I figured while I was over at this end of town dropping the kid off at camp, I might as well stop by the old house where there is still internet... and my laptop. (My laptop being here precisely because there is still internet!)

And yes, we did need to meet up! And talk about crabs. (Which kinda sounds dirty... but then, I have the mental level of a 12-year-old boy most of the time! ;-))

Ahahaha that reminds me of the old Robin Williams line about how in Marin County they don't get the crabs....they get the lobsters!
