Wow I hate this.

I am going from a six bedroom house stuffed with ten years of accumulated crap to a SMALL three-bedroom duplex.

I am going to have to get rid of so many bookshelves, I want to cry.

I made melovechocolate go through all her board games today. I offered up the discards on Freecycle, and put the keepers into a section of the big entertainment center, on the theory that that's where we'd want to keep them in the new place.

Likewise, I stuck my RPG books and my sheet music into two other sections of that piece of furniture.

And I'm trying to consolidate the keeper books into one area just to try to keep track of how many we have. Still too many. I have half a dozen grocery bags of culls on the front porch and I STILL have more books than will fit in the new house, I am certain.

And I've been going through my papers in the filing cabinet and ON the filing cabinet and actually putting them into folders and stuff. I can see the top of the filing cabinet now. I haven't been able to in months.

I even found the title for the Volvo so I can finally arrange to donate it and HAVE IT TOWED AWAY.

But everything still looks like hell and it's all a giant mess and I have no idea how I'm going to get it all done.

Oh, I know. It's so hard to give up your books and stuff. I just had two friends here yesterday, and I've donated 2/3 of my clothes and 7 boxes of books because I'm moving to a smaller apartment.

But you'll make it. It'll just take time (and possibly a friend to be brutal and make you give up things).
