okay, things are starting to come together

Got a lot of paperwork settled today, the closing looks very good to happen by Friday.

Rented a car so I could go look at other cars.

The '98 Mustang was under deposit already. Also? Not really much better than a 2-seater, in terms of back seat. I don't think melovechocolate could have fit even with my seat pushed all the way forward. Someone taller than 5'2"? Fuhgeddaboutit.

So I went to look at the '85 Volvo wagon in New Britain. Turns out it belongs to a friend of cad_red_ducati! Holden's mama, cad_red_ducati. when she mentioned scooters I asked if she knew you and she said sure!

Every repair I did to my Volvo? Has been done. New tires, plus four snow tires on rims, maintenance records, shop manuals... and only 103,000 miles, and mine bit the dust at 191,400.

And it has a bumper sticker I like, and the radio is already tuned to NPR.

So I put a deposit down on Iggy Blue. :)

Wow, it felt nice to be back behind the wheel of a Volvo.

This will leave me enough from the car budget to possibly buy naivefreedom's Miata and STILL put the balance in a money market account and have it earn some interest until I need it for repairs.
