It's such a pity the Pink Spiders' lead singer was a bratty dickhead on stage when they opened for 30 Seconds to Mars in Boston. I don't WANT to like a band with such a brat in it. But I've got their freebie "put this in your computer" disc on right now, and listening to "Little Razorblade" and "Modern Swinger," and I could be listening to the Buzzcocks, or the Damned, or Stiff Little Fingers, and it's just fun to listen to, and damn, I don't want to give my money to brat-boy, but if I can work out how to shift the song files from their disc to my iTunes, they're going on mixes, yes they are.

My wrist hurts because I spent altogether too much time with a piping bag in my hands the last couple of days. Pate a choux shells for cream puffs and eclairs. Filling them with pastry cream. Piping little phyllo shells full of lemon curd. Frosting wee little cupcakes. Filling mini cannoli. And let us not forget icing a full sheet cake. I hate cake.

Because I hate cake, I declared last night "eat dinner at Buckland Hills food court and then go watch Nightmare Before Christmas 3-D" night. This was a rousing success.

I have to go in to work tomorrow. At least it'll get me nicely set up for the week to come. Maybe I'll even be able to see what's posted for the week and plan for it.

I really need to do more tidying and stuff in my room. But I did more today than I've managed in a couple of weeks, so that's something.

Davey Havok wears more glittery eyeshadow than I can remember seeing since the Ziggy Stardust concert movie came out when I was not-quite-fourteen. This is a fine, fine thing. However, if I want to wear glittery eye shadow, I need to spend a lot more time practicing the effect.

Tomorrow after work: raking leaves. Boo.

Another thing for the coming week: figure out why [livejournal.com profile] melovechocolate's room looks like it exploded, and work with her on figuring out where the fragments should go so that they don't do that again. This is ridiculous.

I should probably work on one crazy quilt square a night. This would be relaxing. And it'd be accomplishing SOMETHING. I've been so tired. And my comforter from last year is NOT holding up. Crap workmanship.

Also this weekend: grocery shopping and menu planning for the coming week. Preferably things that the other people will EAT.

Comment and amuse me, because I'm bored. (Yes, then I should go clean something. I know!)

wait...

There's a band called the Pink Spiders?

*big wide eyes*

They must be fans of hide-sama.
All hail hide-sama!

Yay! Wee tiny cupcakes! I'm not sure why, but they make me SO happy! :D

What kind of crazy quilt squares are you making?

crazy quilt! the classic crazy quilt! random swatches of luxury fabrics appliqued to a plain muslin backing, and the seams embroidered over with featherstitch. 20 years of fabric stash is going into this.

is that the Jackman?

Yes, it's Hugh Jackman. LOL. And that's an actual quote too.. A couple years ago, some interviewer asked him, "Is there anything you CAN'T do?" And that was his answer, that he's really crap at keeping his shirt on. Which makes us ALL so sad, I'm sure. ;)

Crazy quilt sounds like fun! Sorry, I'm not very knowledgeable in the ways of quilts!

i also find the pink spiders annoyingly addicting. their CD was on my list of shit to buy if i ever felt i had too much money, but if he's being a brat, i'd assume it'd be easier to find a fake band page on myspace and DL the songs from there... it's how i get half my music. although i really like giving bands money, i can't afford it as often as i would like.

and some bands are assholes. :P

"Borat" broke my brain. "shortbus" was actually pretty good.
I look forward to Paul & Storm
