Tapped by 7:30 PM.
Oct. 31st, 2006 07:51 pmWe had two bags of fun size Nestle Crunch and two large bags of Tootsie mix (Dots, Junior Mints, Charleston Chew, large Tootsie Rolls). Cauldron (a 3 gallon capacity) was full. Started handing out candy at 5:30 PM.
We're tapped.
And that was with me refusing to give candy to anyone who couldn't be arsed to wear a costume. Sorry, if you're too old and too cool to at least smear a little fake blood on your face or wear a silly hat, NO CANDY.
"Sorry, no more candy" sign's on the door, first floor lights are out.
eternaleponine's Black Parade pumpkin was much admired, even though nobody seemed to know what it was about. People also liked
melovechocolate's vaguely Misfits-ish zombie (or it started out as that before the nose fell in) and my Alkaline Trio heartskull, although, again, no clue what it was.
No truly fascinating costumes this year, although the tiny Stitch was cute.
melovechocolate on their determined pursuit of sugar. I promised him a Dos Equis when he comes back.
Older neighbor girl is a goth princess or goth fairy or something like it this year -- store-bought, but also with the black lipstick. Younger one is a more pastel sparkly creature.
So we're done for another year.

Date: 2006-11-01 03:05 am (UTC)I've learned don't buy candy for Halloween that you wouldn't normally eat, so I have a supply of Reese's Peanut Butter cups. At the rate I eat them, it'll probably last a couple of months.
