LASIK update
Jul. 6th, 2006 08:59 pmHad my one-week checkup today.
The flaps have not wrinkled, there has been no debris lodged in them, and I am seeing very close to 20/20.
I don't have to use the medicated drops any more, or wear the goggles to sleep or work, and the sunglasses are at my discretion. I am cleared for swimming (but not diving), and I am supposed to keep using the artificial tears, lots of them.
I could not be more thrilled!

Date: 2006-07-07 02:29 am (UTC)So they didn't have to take off that much corneal surface to fix it, unlike those with worse correction.
I was just sick and tired of breaking/losing/paying for/WEARING eyeglasses!

Date: 2006-07-07 11:30 am (UTC)FWIW, I was at -8.25 when I had mine done. I was corrected to a +.25 which is effectively 20/15.
I'm glad it has worked out so well for you.
