[livejournal.com profile] melovechocolate has an early dismissal day today -- which I found out via text message from [livejournal.com profile] shadowflyer, because she told me on Tuesday that it wasn't a half day after all. He'd made some emergency arrangements with his parents, but I looked at my workload, and tomorrow's task list, and decided I could triage my prep work and be out by the time she got home. And here I am, before she is.

Stopped at the Kinko's to make a copy of my pay stub for [livejournal.com profile] shadowflyer.

Started the duvet cover and shams cycling again in the dryer. Towels need to get put away.

Brought home some more boxes for packing up [livejournal.com profile] shadowflyer's effects.

Weather is sunny, so I will be mowing the back lawn this afternoon. That's going to be a monster of a task, especially since I also need to spray poison ivy killer and probably break up a large tree branch. Yay big stompy yellow work boots.

Have to unload the dishwasher. Should do some work on the bags of kid clutter in the upstairs hall. Want to get the television shifted into the living room, which means moving some things off the dresser top. Should do work on my bedroom, too.

Perhaps what I'll do is take the timer and do fifteen minutes in each area, so I don't get overwhelmed. Then when I get tired of being in the house I'll go mow the lawn.

And the timer is about to ring, so I had best get changed out of my work clothes and into my chore clothes, and get cracking on this.

At least I have contractor clean-up bags now.

Go me.

(P.S. Anyone local who wants to come keep me company while I do this, it'd be much appreciated. [livejournal.com profile] tikvah, this is why I'm not coming to keep YOU company while YOU clean!)

Oh, hey, long time no see!

I know, [livejournal.com profile] tikvah and I have done it for each other on multiple occasions, and [livejournal.com profile] tragic_tea saved my sanity by hanging out while I packed up my good china and so on in December.

She even offered to come by today, but didn't see it until I was through with inside work and ready to mow the lawn, and that isn't a terribly good opportunity for conversation.

Nice of you to electronically stop by and say hello, too!
