and for 15 minutes, I did dishes, actually getting the sink clear, and then ran the dishwasher. That meant there'd be no hot water for my shower, so I spent 15 more minutes in my bedroom, stuffing laundry into laundry bags and putting away clean or cleanish clothes on my bed, and now it doesn't look like a king-sized laundry pile any more.

Then I made myself a grilled cheese sandwich with lemon wasabi sauce where normal people would have mustard, and two glasses of V8 juice with lime. My head is still stuffy, particularly around my ears, but I feel a little bit more alive.

Tomorrow [livejournal.com profile] shadowflyer and I have got to tip the dryer over onto its face so he can get the legs off so he can get the back off so we can replace the broken belt. Then with any luck we can start doing laundry at HOME again instead of dragging it over to other people's houses. That would make things a little easier.

I am debating over whether to go down to the basement and turn the water heater up a few notches. Ever since we got the heater replaced I have not been able to get my shower hot enough for me -- I turn on the hot water ONLY and it's still too cold and it runs out awfully fast too. Admittedly, I like my showers very hot -- 112.5 F, I determined during labor with [livejournal.com profile] melovechocolate, because the shower in the birthing room had a temperature gauge, and if it slid below 112 it was too cold and if it went over 113 it was too hot. Yes, I'm a freak. What's stopping me from doing this is the knowledge of just how much money we owe the gas company ALREADY, and that turning up the hot water heater is only going to make it worse.

I should check to see if the mail is here. There ought to be a tax refund coming that would solve a lot of those sorts of problems, at least for a little bit.

But I am still going out dancing tonight.
