Jan. 16th, 2005 03:37 pmThe show went reasonably well. The guy who usually does sound at the Audobon Center had a snake we could use (boy, do I need to scout eBay for one of those) so I got to be in the center of the house. I am still learning, and I probably made some dumb mistakes, but at least you could hear them, and they sold a bunch of CDs, so it's pretty good.
I am really tired. I hope I'm not coming down with

FWIW, my buddy Tim gets most of the Shamrock Traditional Irish Music Society's cables and mics and such from musiciansfriend.com. You might take a look there for a snake, as well as Ebay. Apparently they sometimes have very nice deals, especially on stuff that works but has cosmetic flaws. Our snake came from there and was apparently quite a good price, although I don't know what it was--it was a couple of years ago and we had a lot more grant money then, so YMMV.
Hope you're not coming down with the cold and that
