Yay, a present!
The show went reasonably well. The guy who usually does sound at the Audobon Center had a snake we could use (boy, do I need to scout eBay for one of those) so I got to be in the center of the house. I am still learning, and I probably made some dumb mistakes, but at least you could hear them, and they sold a bunch of CDs, so it's pretty good.
I am really tired. I hope I'm not coming down with

Glad it went well.
FWIW, my buddy Tim gets most of the Shamrock Traditional Irish Music Society's cables and mics and such from musiciansfriend.com. You might take a look there for a snake, as well as Ebay. Apparently they sometimes have very nice deals, especially on stuff that works but has cosmetic flaws. Our snake came from there and was apparently quite a good price, although I don't know what it was--it was a couple of years ago and we had a lot more grant money then, so YMMV.
Hope you're not coming down with the cold and that
