Filled out the application at the kitchen staffing agency. Talked with the woman in the office. She said "come in tomorrow for an orientation" -- ServSafe video, company handbook, all that. No clue when there might be assignments, but at least it's the potential for assignments.

Also went to the library and got more Dorothy Sayers. Not sure why I'm on a 20s/30s kick right now, but I am. (Be glad. I could have linked you to the TVTropes entry for "Christie Time" but I didn't, thus sparing you three hours of noodling around TVTropes.)
