Let's hope it cools things off. 95 degrees or whatever it was today was just stupid.

eternaleponine 's car needs brake work, so we brought it to Claude's tonight. I'll bring him the keys tomorrow morning. This also puts me on driving her to and from work. Which isn't too bad, all things considered -- I have a certain amount of flex in my schedule.

If it's this nasty hot again, I foresee more Whole Foods sushi for dinner. Too hot to eat anything else.

ETA: Hailstorm! And, because we're smart like that, we stuck our heads out the door, hoping to measure some. eternaleponine reported one stone at half an inch before she got clocked on the head.


EDIT: The child has been very naughty and has hacked his mother's livejournal in order to post his eggs. He apologizes profusely, and reminds me that he loves me. (sorry mum! <3)

Wow, your weather is being weirder than ours, considering how different it's being from Boston which is hardly far (they're already down to the 50s). We're having 90s with soupy humidity for a couple of day until it T-Storms. Yee-haw.

Our weather is further inland and more south, so I would expect it to be warmer. But I don't think it hit 90 here yesterday and there were no clouds or thunderstorms. Huh.

And I thought I wasn't smart to be stuck driving in it. At least I had the sense to sit in the driveway until the hail let up before getting out of the car.

I can't confirm this, but I think that was the first time in my life we've had hail in Hartford. Sleet like whoa, but never hail that I can remember.
