I do not think the ultrasonic mouse repellers I installed yesterday are working.

This is the mouse we caught in the cat's litterbox this morning -- we use wheat-based kitty litter, and the mouse thinks it's a snack bar:






We are too soft-hearted to kill such a cute little critter, so I walked it over to Beachland Park, about half a mile away, and set it free in some underbrush.






I hope it's far enough, and that the mouse will try the nearby condos, if it still wants to be an indoor mouse.

We got some of those when we moved into our house. They worked so well we had to get a cat.

The cat is 17 and not interested in catching mice, alas. And I can't afford the vet bills for a kitten.

*nod* Our dog is uninterested in mice as well. We ended up getting the cat from a friend of ours who was moving out of town.

BTW, of all my friends who've had mouse problems in this town, we have never had them. Although there are plenty of cats in this crowd, we're the only dog owners...I can lend you a dog to terrify the poor little critters out of the place.
