In the department of Need To Have The Coffee Before I Make The Coffee:

I really, seriously thought the Melitta cup-top brewer was too simple to screw up. Filter in holder, two scoops of coffee in filter, holder on mug, turn on the kettle, pour the water.

This morning, I put the holder on top of an UPSIDE DOWN MUG.

Luckily I caught it before coffee went everywhere. Only about a tablespoon.

But, wow, that's a new one even for me.

I howled when I read this and had to read it out loud to J. Who laughed harder than I've seen him laugh in a long time.

He say that he'll have to share this one with his mum, who apparently has the same pre-coffee affliction as you do. You are not alone, sister.

That's why I thought a cup-top would be better! You HAVE to have the filter holder for it to work!

I am going to blame it on the print on this mug being so faded. I want a new "Lait pur sterilise" mugh with the little girl and the cats now.

It was the equivalent! I was pouring the water from the kettle into the filter holder that was resting on an upside-down mug. I caught the error about a tablespoon into it.
