A day-brightener
Apr. 25th, 2004 10:18 amThe people at Flowers by the Bay in San Francisco ROCK.
A couple of months back -- February 24th, as I go check the receipt -- I ordered flowers to go to a random couple getting married at City Hall. "With love from (my town)," anonymous, all that. Never expected a response, did it for the warm fuzzy feeling, that was all.
What should I get in my mail on Friday but a postcard from the flower shop, with a jotted "Thank You!!" signed by "Rashid and John."
I guess the flower shop took along a stack of their promo cards and had the couples who got the bouquets sign them, and then mailed a signed card out to each donor Clever of them.
So, Rashid and John, congratulations, and I wish you many years of health and happiness together.
