Dear Click Back America Members,
Our friends at Fat Wreck Chords and PunkVoter.com have created a CD
compilation with the biggest names in punk rock-- "Rock Against Bush
Vol. 1" -- which went on sale this week.
It features original tracks from top bands like Offspring, Ministry,
NOFX, and Social Distortion, and was an instant big seller. However,
major retailers are already stripping the CD off their shelves in
response to heavy political pressure. There are a lot of people who
would rather see this album buried -- but we're not going to let that
happen.
If Fat Wreck can sell enough CD's this week to get Rock Against Bush
in the top 40, the headlines and exposure will ensure the CD stays on
the shelves and on the air. The rankings are weekly, and this week is
their best shot. They're almost there, but to make the cut they will
need an infusion of sales *this weekend*. That's where we come in.
You can go to http://www.fatwreck.com/clickback to order your copy of
Rock Against Bush Vol. 1 for just $6.
Fat Wreck is donating 100% of the proceeds to progressive
organizations. And for every CD purchased through Click Back America,
$1 extra goes to support the MoveOn.org Voter Fund.
Here's more information about the CD:
The "Rock Against Bush Vol. 1" features 26 of the most influential
rock bands in America right now uniting mainstream and underground
rock to speak out against the Bush Administration. It includes bands
like Offspring, Ministry, NOFX, Social Distortion, Pennywise,
Descendents, The Ataris, and many more.
This CD aims to inspire and enrage the young Punkvoter.com audience
and comes packaged with a bonus DVD that includes tons of factual
information and several music videos. It also includes short versions
of the documentaries "Uncovered: The Whole Truth about the Iraq War"
and "Unprecedented," and even the five winning commercials from
MoveOn Voter Fund's Bush in 30 Seconds campaign.
This compilation is supported by PunkVoter.com, a voter education
organization made up of over 200 of the largest punk bands in the
country including Green Day, Offspring, Less Than Jake, Bad Religion,
and Pennywise. For more information go to:

ame_chan, if you're short this week, tell me and I'll send you one -- just MAIL THOSE MIX DISCS, please?
Actually, if any of you out there in lj-land want it but are having a bad financial week, I will send them out to fhe first five people who comment and tell me to. I worked more hours than usual this week, and it's a GREAT cause. But if you can afford the eight bucks on your own (that's WITH shipping, folks) please take a minute to click.
Me? I'm going to bring it in as Boss Repellent at work. My boss would be all over the cause, but the music will keep her OUT of the kitchen, and work goes so much more smoothly when she stays out of the kitchen staff's way!
For those of you so inclined, please post the link in your journals? The more we get the word out, the more people we motivate, the better chance we have of getting our country back.
