Went out for lunch with a friend today, and thought of you when we ordered desserts. I got coconut flan, which came plated amid swirls of raspberry and mango syrup with a sprinkling of powdered sugar; the flan had a whipped-cream rosette garnished with a fresh mint leaf and a raspberry, and there were 3 hard-fried sopapilla slices sticking up in a triangular formation around the rosette. She had chocolate Tres Leches cake, which I didn't look at as attentively, but I did notice the decoratively -sliced fresh strawberry on the top.
