Spotted in Manchester

Driving back from cad_red_ducati's gathering yesterday, I spotted someone driving MY CAR - an Austin Healey Mk1 Sprite.

I squealed in delight, and gave the driver a thumbs-up, and explained to eternaleponine and melovechocolate that that was MY CAR.

eternaleponine: OMG it's a bug!

Me: Well, it's CALLED a Bug-Eyed Sprite!

melovechocolate: It's so cute!

Me: I've wanted one since I saw it in a Mountain Dew commercial when I was ten.

eternaleponine: It looks like a Muppet!

Me: EXACTLY!

Now, mine should be red, like the one I linked to, rather than British racing green, like the one we saw, but THAT'S MY CAR.

I think that's the kind of car that my college roommate's dad had shipped over in pieces from England and has spent the last 30 years putting back together.

yay party shuffle! I invested FAR too many hours as a teenager memorizing those lyrics, too.
