I ALSO have a set of tire irons and a fairly spiffy foot pump. Which I did not expect. Thank you!
The tube wasn't even seriously leaking. I think when the kiddo inflated it, she just didn't inflate it all the way, which made it go flat again quickly. Problem solved.
starcat_jewel, this is the sort of racing bike with modified brakes, so you can grip the levers either from the bent-over position or from the upright crossbar.
The rear tire has some dry rot, but is probably ok for the conditioning rides that I'll need to do before I can even contemplate a 13-mile run with a big damn hill in the middle.
But yay, bicycle help!
