The noises of spring
Apr. 25th, 2007 05:00 pmYesterday, I was driving around with the top down, music turned up -- Marilyn Manson's "This Is The New Shit," because
melovechocolate had not head it and didn't recognize it when
eternaleponine and I were quoting the chorus at each other while cleaning the study on Sunday. Good convertible music. Remind me to post about convertible music generally.
Anyway, there I was, about to turn onto Farmington Avenue by the reservoir, when I heard a loud "vroom."
"Bet that guy on the Harley won't be wearing a helmet," I thought, and turned my head to look.
No Harley.
Awwww, BOOGERSNOTS.
It was my muffler.
The three mile commute all winter did exactly what you'd expect to the exhaust system: allowed condensation to build up and turn into rust.
Claude can see it on Friday.
I guess I have another reason to be happy I'm taking the bus!
