Here's the deal, Sparky

Stopped at the dollar store after work today.

Eight Mean Skulls, and three Jolly Roger bandanas with evil red eyes in the eye sockets.

Obviously, not everyone is getting one.

tamidon absolutely gets first dibs because she's going to wear hers in a kitchen the way I do.

Would anyone like to bow out, or state a preference for the Jolly Roger version?

They also have a number of white bandanas with circular Chinese dragon medallions that I think are kind of spiffy.

If there's a lot of backing and filling here, I'm going to pick and choose on my own whims. Them's the breaks.

I will be checking back there for more Mean Skulls, because they ARE a lot of fun in a twisted way, and I want to share the love.

But get used to disappointment.

Went over to tikvah's house to watch the game last night, as I don't have cable.

That grand slam was BEAUTIFUL.

Just for the record... the Sox have not made it to a World Series since AFTER the year of the earthquake, where the Series was not fully played.

There are readings of the Curse of the Bambino that suggest that this event (the earthquake-caused incompletion) may have rendered the curse inoperative.

I don't know if I'm daring to hope yet. But I want, I want, I WANT...

Bribery and inducement

I told the 9-year-old that I would only help her make her pixilated-self icon (you know, like this one here that's wearing The Hat) if she found me the ACTUAL Red Sox cap that's technically hers but that I really want to wear to work.

I haven't seen that hat since she got back from a visit to her grandparents' beach house in August.

NEED THE HAT!
