More ways to waste time

With all the things archived on the Web, it shouldn't be so damned hard to find out what the weather was like in London on December 15, 1978.

But the Times archives don't go back that far online.

And Google isn't helping much.

Am I safe to assume that it was Damned Cold?

That last one gets cranked not so much because it's a loud song, but because if I crank it, I can sing along in full voice and still not have to subject everyone to just me singing.
