Two days off

The good part: I can sleep in (which for me is about 8:30 AM), I can do work around the house, I can even go to Haven tonight if I find someone who'll pay my gas in exchange for driving them (
cherrybutterfly, I'm looking at you).
The bad part: I haven't been at this job long enough to get holiday pay. My paycheck next week is going to SUCK.
The weekend at
talandra's was very restorative. Got to hang out, got a bit of game time, got a great deal of pointless but soothing crewelwork embroidery done... when I finish this "bell pull" with all the different flowers on it, is anyone interested in that sort of thing? Not my style of home decor at all, I just like the process.
Saw the Harry Potter movie. Brief review: meh. It needed more Snape.
After the weekend, I was a lot better able to cope with work. I made a point of looking at the checklist a lot, and pulling up components before we needed them... I hope they're happier with me.
Gave three of my co-workers rides home today, because it was pouring rain, and they take the bus. I remember how much not having a car sucked.
Despite the sucky paycheck, this is a big improvement over a 22-hour shift of pie-baking insanity the way I had last year. Looking back, I have no idea how I did it.
*sigh* Still, two days off will be nice.
