"Hey, nice blue streaks! Are they temporary?"
"No, they're Manic Panic."
"How come you streaked your hair?"
"Well, I did it for Warped Tour, and then I wanted to keep it."
"You went to Warped Tour? Lucky!"
"Yeah, my mom took me."
(looking at me) "You went to Warped Tour? Did you like it?"
Which is my cue to point to all the band pins on my jacket and purse, and start talking bands with, say, the boy on the JCC staff who's watching the playscape wheremelovechocolate is climbing around with a bunch of toddlers because she STILL has energy to burn after her tae kwon do class.
