Calendar update, again
Aug. 2nd, 2005 02:12 pmTonight: sleep. I do need some.
Wednesday: Grand Band Slam, downtown Hartford. Meet 6 PM outside the Pour House on Allyn St.
cherrybutterfly,
number42 definitely --
grey_and_purple, we'd love to see you, anyone else up for it? Dinner to follow, no real clue about the bands, don't want to miss the Johnny Strangler (
rikandade) and Garage Flower (
goofuscat) DJ sets upstairs at the Pour House at 10:15 and 11:15 PM. I will probably be going straight from the Slam to work at 2 AM.
Thursday: I bet I'll need sleep.
Friday: no plans yet.
Saturday: Dark Millenium (the renamed Bound) at the Webster. Cowboy and Indian theme this month, watch people ignore it... I'll make a concession to it by wearing my pretty leather cowboy hat with the silver conchos. $5 cover. The more the merrier.
Sunday: no plans that I know of.
Next week: attempting to conserve money, because on 8/12, Great Big Sea is at Toad's Place. $20. Want to see them! So maybe a session (the Steam?) or no-cover 80s night at Diva's on Thursday, but nothing expensive.
8/17: Rathkeltair at the Irish-American Home in Glastonbury. All ages. Do not miss it.
8/19: The Saw Doctors and Enter the Haggis at Look Park in Northampton. Suggestion from
mhaille: picnic in park, do not pay to go into theater, enjoy overflow sound.
8/20: Tempest at the Half Door. 21+. Oh, do I want to see this. shadowflyer will be at Hunter Mountain but this should not stop me... although there may be babysitter arrangements to be made.
not going to post anything about further out, yet. Except to gloat that I have GREEN DAY TICKETS coming! YAY!

Date: 2005-08-02 11:07 pm (UTC)I look at it this way, it's still an order of magnitude less than, say, U2 tickets.

Date: 2005-08-03 12:08 pm (UTC)The band slam is going to be lots of fun, and it is all free. You can wander in and out of all the bars to check out the bands, tons of free stuff, and I seen many of the places advertising $3 Bud/Bud Light.
