Due to Ford's policy of recruiting gay and lesbian employees and *gasp* offering them and their partners full benefits, a radical right group, the American Family Association, has called a boycott on the car manufacturer.

Bugger all that for a lark.

Ford, like Kraft a few weeks ago, is getting hammered with phone calls and emails.I'm calling today (phones shut at five). Apparently, GM and Chrysler also provide same-sex benefits, though they haven't been targeted yet.

Anyway. Anyone so inclined to tell Ford that they're doing the right thing by treating people equally with regard to sexual orientation, the necessary contact info is:

someone might want to inform the american family association that nearly every major corporation, particularly those with an international presence, offer benefits for same sex couples.
