This has been going around, but I decided I wasn't going to bother dojng it unless I got mentioned in someone's list. shoeless_girl mentioned me, so here goes.

1. Is #9 a boy or a girl?

Girl. I have some of her discarded dresses. :)

2. Would #11 and #2 make a cute couple?

*snerk* I've seen them game together. I don't think it would have a chance!

3. How about #18 and #4?

I cannot think of enough ways to express the No. They would probably get along fine hanging out, but a couple? Never in a million years.

4. What grade is #17 in?
Attended but did not graduate from a fairly prestigious college, kinda like me.

5. When was the last time you talked to #12?
In person, voice? Couple of years I think. I owe her an e-mail from a few days ago.

6. What is #6's favorite band?
I am not sure, but good contenders would be Klaatu or Robyn Hitchcock...

7. Does #1 have any siblings?
Two sisters.

8. Would you ever date #3?
Nope. Our charactes wouldn't, either.

9. Would you ever date #7?
Nope. I think I was already married when I met him, and besides, even if I were interested, cherrybutterfly would kill me. ;)

10. Is #16 single?
Nope. Her wedding invitations were very traditional and very pretty.

11. What's #15's last name?
I know it, and I know that it's her maiden name and she has very strong feelings about women keeping theirs, but I don't reveal names on lj without permission.

12. What's #10's middle name?
I don't know. Though I know her first and surnames :)

13. What's #5's favorite thing to do?
It would be awfully conceited of me to say "write about imaginary gay boys." Besides, there's probably something she likes better. We just spend an awful lot of time doing that.

14. Is #13 hot?

From the pictures she's posted I'd say more "cute" than "hot," but not ugly by any means.

15. Would #14 and #19 make a good couple?
Definitely not. That's a worse mismatch of genders and orientations than #4 and #18!

16. What school does #20 go to?
She's done with school, to the tune of more than one degree, thanks.

He's a published RPG author.

Had black hair back when I was bleaching mine, and then for a long time we were both dyeing ours red, and now hers is bleached while mine is black, although both of us default to dark brown.

No. Most of my crushes are on guys, anyway, although there have been exceptions.

21. Where does #9 live?
Probably less than two miles from my house.

22. What's #3 favorite color?
If it's not black, which would surprise me, it's probably dark blue. Except during hockey season when it's NJ Devils red.

23. Would you makeout with #14?
Nope, don't go for straight girls, and would not want to annoy mcroft, either. Have written some making out between characters of ours...

24. Are #5 & #6 best friends?
No. I have no idea how they'd get on. #5 is often shy, and #6 is just surreal.

25. Does #7 like #2?
Yes, although they're not much in contact any more, I think.

26. Does #8 like #19?
Not sure. cherrybutterfly, once you've moved here for good, we'll have to make sure you meet.

27. How did you meet #2?
Through our friend Nancy, who never answers my e-mails any more.

28. How did you meet #18?
Through tikvah. She's a nexus.

29. Does #10 have any pets?
Four very cute cats.

30. Is #12 older than you?
Yes, she is.

31. Is #17 the sexiest person alive, or what?
I am reserving judgement on this until I see her in her corset!

It's interesting, I've told some people that I'm planning to drop my last name and use my middle name as my professional name. And almost every single time, I get a reaction that makes it clear that the person assumes my last name is my married name, and that's why I'm dropping it. I hear lots of, "Oh, I wouldn't want to keep my married name if I were divorced, either." To which I reply, "I never took his name in the first place. I am simply choosing a better professional name now." It's that assumption that is so pervasive that makes me such a strong believer in women not changing their names. Until people stop assuming it's "what we're supposed to do" it's not much of a "choice" when people choose to do it. In my opinion. And I'll get off of my soapbox now. :)
