Trial shift tomorrow at the artisan bakery -- I'll go in at 9 PM.

Must call back the corporate foodservice place, as they must have called while I was out having lunch with [livejournal.com profile] ghilledhu and driving her to her train in New Haven. Them calling is a good sign.

Neither of these jobs are in the bag, but it's looking good.

So torn. Wonderful breads and terrible hours, or excellent hours and ordinary food?

Am trying to suppress a lunatic part of my brain that says I should try to do both, and sleep from 3-8PM, and have no life whatsoever, just to put us in a better financial position.

In other news, my 20-eyelet Docs arrived today. Mmm, stompyboots.

Time to find some comfort reading and curl up in bed, I think.

How about doing both until you decide which one you like best?

OOoo, 20-eye Docs!

Is there any significant difference in pay or possibility for advancement between the two jobs?

Hey now, stompyboots ... must file away as a necessary purchase in future months.

I hope it goes well for you in immediate future and that you don't get stuck at the Three Dog Bakery (I saw one in Toronto; I knew they were a chain but I had no idea it was a chain with that much spread).

I declined to go back to them for a second interview, so I won't be working there.

No more retail. Not even as a manager. No.

Starting pay, probably similar. Advancement... who knows. The artisan bakery has business expansion plans, not sure how that would translate into job duties or working conditions for me. The corporate foodservice... I could probably pick up some new skill sets while I was there, don't know what would end up happening for pay rate down the line.

As I said, I'm torn.

Oops! Sorry to make you miss a call...but glad you got the call.

Ah. You have chosen ... wisely. (I'd hate to see you handling Doggie Yappy Hour.)
