Date: 2005-04-10 09:52 pm (UTC)But I don't think I've seen 20 artists total.

Date: 2005-04-10 10:08 pm (UTC)I could have come up with more, I guess, but they'd be getting even more obscure if I did.

Date: 2005-04-10 10:44 pm (UTC)*sniffle* I miss Clandestine.
The only non-obscure musicians I've seen are Arlo Guthrie, They Might Be Giants, and (for some definitions of non-obscure) Steeleye Span.

Date: 2005-04-10 10:18 pm (UTC)I saw Jethro Tull on their 25-year anniversary tour.
Six Mile Bridge (or at least a major subset thereof -- Maggie, Anders and Frances) played the waltz for our first dance at our wedding reception! (I also saw them in concert a few times....)

Date: 2005-04-10 10:20 pm (UTC)Oh, and I also saw Melissa Etheridge opening for the Eagles on their "Hell Freezes Over" tour.... Does that count?
no subject
Date: 2005-04-10 10:26 pm (UTC)Oh. I probably ought to count Bob Dylan because he was touring with the Dead one of the times I saw him.

Date: 2005-04-10 10:57 pm (UTC)Boiled in Lead
David Bowie
I used to go see bands all the time, but that habit dropped off with mortgage and kids.

Date: 2005-04-10 11:23 pm (UTC)The Moody Blues (twice)
David Bowie (once)
Jefferson Airplane (well, okay, I saw Jefferson Starship, but close enough, right?)
Six Mile Bridge (many, many, many, including producing some like the one you saw)

Date: 2005-04-11 12:22 am (UTC)I've seen Rathkeltair, but that's about it for your list.
On my own:
Tempest (many times)
The Indigo Girls (1)
Phish (1)
Weird Al (2)
Clam Chowder (...3?)
Voltaire (1)
...I think that's it. Not really a big concert-goer.

Date: 2005-04-11 05:18 pm (UTC)Not much overlap, huh?
Date: 2005-04-11 01:11 am (UTC)David Bowie (x2)
Deep Purple (x1)

Date: 2005-04-11 04:17 am (UTC)I should start seeing more shows, since I no longer have to worry about the smokiness of the venue (at least in Massachusetts). Gotta do something about the constant exhaustion...

Date: 2005-04-11 01:59 pm (UTC)NRBQ (8)
Robyn Hitchcock (6)
Iron & Wine (1)
Doves (1 - god, this one was LOUD)
Neil Young (1)
Billy Joel (1 - free tickets)
Yes (2)
Ani DiFranco (7)
Cherish The Ladies (2)
The Drovers (1)
Wilco (1)
Bill Frisell (1)
Joe Jackson (3)
Shawn Colvin (1)
Asleep at the Wheel (1)
Tori Amos (1)
They Might Be Giants (1)
Kitchens of Distinction (1)
Suzanne Vega (1)
Warren Zevon (1 - nearly 3 hours late, but at least he started with "Lawyers, Guns and Money")
Other one-offs that didn't make the list mainly because I got dragged to them: America, Three Dog Night, Harry Connick Jr., Tommy Cash. I love America's older stuff and was actually looking forward to she show, so it was hugely disappointing to see Dewey Bunnell forget the words to "A Horse With No Name" in concert.

Date: 2005-04-11 05:17 pm (UTC)And that's depressing about "Horse With No Name." Weren't they "Sister Golden Hair" too? I have a quiet fondness for that song.

Date: 2005-04-12 02:33 am (UTC)The Moody Blues (date)
Boiled in Lead (heard 'em in someone's house. the bass player had a date in town, I think)
Six Mile Bridge (sorry they dropped Wolf)
Well, wow, a whole four of 'em!
