Because [livejournal.com profile] djinnthespazz wanted it, and it was definitely the good part of the day.

Muffin of the day: blackberry almond.

Soups: chili, chicken vegetable, and because there wasn't a lot of either, I made a pot of potato leek.

Sandwiches: southwest chicken salad wraps, veggie hummus wraps, and turkey, provolone, and roasted red peppers on a hard roll with pesto mayo.

Salads: made a new zucchini and grape tomato salad with fresh oregano in the feta dressing. Mmm, fresh oregano.

After lunch, the boss put together some more of her meatloaf while I did two half hotel pans of veggie lasagna, and we roasted off butternut squashes, and I made pumpkin gingerbreads and bread puddings, and backed up mini scones for a special order for tomorrow.

Soundtrack: [livejournal.com profile] follybard's KitchenAid Mix, [livejournal.com profile] wyomingnot's All Men Are Liars mix, the Immortal Beloved mix, The Very Best of Elvis Costello and the Attractions, and London Calling.

And I did it in nine hours and three minutes. Keeping to allotted!

See? It was a good day.

The bandana showed up, in all it's stupendousness.

YAY! Thank you thank you thank you! I think I'm actually going to make a skirt and sew the bandana on my right hip, it's so awesome.

I've had this idea for potato leek soup with turkey leftovers for ages.

Mine's dairy-vegetarian -- wilt the leeks in butter, add the potatoes, add a little flour to make a light roux, cook it for a couple of minutes, enough water to cover the potatoes and simmer until they're tender, puree them and add milk until it's the right consistency. Salt and pepper.

But I bet it'd be very good with turkey leftovers.
