The most obvious distinguishing characteristics between the "male" and "female" animals in the Noah's Ark series is that the females mostly have their heads lowered.

WHAT'S UP WITH THAT?

And, in the bottom of the box, there was an order form for a ceramic ark on which to display the figurines. Twenty-five bucks. Do they really expect people to waste their money on that?

What the heck do most people DO with those figurines, anyway? A friend of my mother's used to keep them on a spice rack in her kitchen. A friend of mine kept them in the built-in china closet in her old apartment, but I don't know where she's put them since she moved, because her house hasn't got the china cabinet.

Mine mostly get scattered around the house. I used to give them to my daughter to play with, and sometimes I'd put them on the mantelpiece just to get them out of the way.

The only real use I've found for them is as player-pieces for CheapAss Games.
