Holiday Trash Delays
When in doubt, put it out!

West Hartford follows a holiday schedule set by the Connecticut Resource Recovery Authority (CRRA). Collections are usually only affected by the holidays listed below. Other holidays, even when Town Hall or schools may be closed, will not affect the refuse collection schedule. The schedule may change from year to year, so be sure to check with the Public Works Department, Paine’s, the Hartford Courant or CRRA. Normally, if one of the holidays listed below falls on a Monday, refuse collection will be delayed one day all week. Monday's refuse collection area will be picked up on Tuesday, Tuesday's area will be picked on Wednesday, and so forth. Friday's refuse collection area will be picked up on Saturday.
