I first heard his routines when I was twelve or so, lying in bed listening to Dr. Demento on my little clock radio tuned to WCOZ.

They've stuck with me.

He will be missed.

Dr.Demento? Is he the one who had cooked up "Startrekking across the Universe"? No matter what, like I said elsewhere, I realize that, while I'm nowhere near 71, I'm not getting any younger when I find myself thinking that 71 is too young to die.

Not news I was expecting to hear, not now.

May he rest in peace.

And you just know he and Richard and Lenny are having a helluva riffing contest.

I listened to NPR for over an HOUR on the way home because I heard a 5 second blurb about them "remembering" Carlin and had to know if he died.

RIP, Mr. Snap, Crackle, Fuck Him. You will be missed.

I was very saddened to hear of this great loss. His "stuff" routine made me rethink the way I lived my life.
