[livejournal.com profile] naivefreedom got here around noon and we went and picked up the U-Haul.

A 17-footer isn't nearly as hard to drive as I thought.

We collected a marvelous desk for me from a Freecycler -- a solid oak rolltop built AS a computer desk. It's gorgeous. It has tons of beautiful cubbyholes, but it's also got things like cord holes, and a vented space for a CPU tower which I won't need because I have a Mac mini, and CD storage, and a keyboard tray -- it's amazing. It's also very heavy. But [livejournal.com profile] naivefreedom and I managed it pretty well.

I emptied out the last of the green dresser and some other things.

I also posted about a billion things to Freecycle.

And I brought Candy-O's title to Claude so he could handle the sale.

We picked up [livejournal.com profile] melovechocolate from her theater camp. Then over to [livejournal.com profile] shadowflyer's to drop off stuff.

Then to the mall to collect [livejournal.com profile] pocketpolina from her job so she could help me pack.

We loaded up the truck with big pieces of furniture. The huge heavy entertainment center. [livejournal.com profile] melovechocolate's dressers. My file cabinet. The kitchen table and chairs.

We got it to the point where it really was a truckload, so we took it over and unloaded it.

We are mighty!

We are also really tired.

And there's still the beds and all of [livejournal.com profile] eternaleponine's things to do tomorrow, but her family is coming to help her with those.

But the living room is almost sorta looking like a living room now.

G'night.
