Saturday night update

The closing papers are signed. I should have the money Monday.

We're moving next weekend. Help greatly appreciated. Anyone who wants to keep me company tomorrow while I work on throwing stuff out and packing is more than welcome.

I drove to Maine last night to pick up melovechocolate from her week at the beach with my folks. Discovered that the headlights on the Volvo don't work. Only the high beams and the parking lights. Doesn't seem to be the fuse. khemicalx, formerly known as searingpaine, has said he'll help me look at it tomorrow. I decided that it was unwise to drive to sunspiral and roozle's Beginning of Summer Party with that handicap, so no party for me. I miss seeing all you Suspects though!

I got a hellish sunburn on my left arm driving back from Maine this morning. melovechocolate is spending the night with her friend Mandy tonight, and I'll get her tomorrow evening. Theater camp starts Monday.

I still need to reserve the U-Haul, rent the dumpster, get the keys from the landlady, get the cars out of the driveway (the donation people were supposed to come get Iggy '89 today and did not show), and all kinds of stuff. Like PACK. Yeesh.

At least I have discovered that the regular town recycling will take bags of shredded office paper. They'll be getting a LOT!

Yup. We're going with her best friend and bf's mom. We bought them the "day at AG place" package for their birthdays, so we're having a meal, seeing the show, and they each have gift certificates to spend there. O is 8 and E is 7 and they will be in heaven.

I'll have more stuff than just cookbooks for you tomorrow then! C has outgrown her interest, and my nieces are too young yet. I'll save the doll and one outfit for the nieces, but you can have the other stuff!
