When you see this, post the lyrics to an '80s song in your journal, if you are so moved.

I'm alone
sitting with my empty glass
my four walls
follow me through my past
I was on a Paris train
I emerged in London rain
and you were waiting there
swimming through apologies

I remember searching for the perfect words
I was hoping you might change your mind
I remember a soldier sleeping next to me
riding on the Metro

You wore white
smiling as you took my hand
so removed
we spoke of wintertime in France
minutes passed with shallow words
years have passed and still the hurt
I can see you now
smiling as I pulled away

I remember the letter wrinkled in my hand
"I'll love you always" filled my eyes
I remember a night we walked along the Seine
riding on the Metro

I remember a feeling coming over me
the soldier turned, then looked away
I remember hating you for loving me
riding on the Metro

I'm alone
sitting with my BROKEN glass
my four walls
follow me through my past
I was on a Paris train
I emerged in London rain
and you were waiting there
swimming through apologies(sorry)

I remember searching for the perfect words
I was hoping you might change your mind
I remember a soldier sleeping next to me
riding on the Metro

I still haven't heard the original, but I fucking love this song. It is so incredible.

...on a semi-related note, the remix of "Fine Without You" is officially my favorite thing ever. Like, techno-Trio. And it OWNS.

Is that on the Blood Pact extras or one of those things you have to decode to download? I have been too lazy to get them.

Now I guess I'm gonna have to, huh?

Yeah, but it's not that hard, and it's worth it for the acoustics and lives. Plus "Over at the Frankenstein Place" (<3<3<3<3<3<3<3) and "Heaven." And the remixes of "Fine Without You" and Burn. Definitely, definitely worth it. And decoding is fun! Hahaha. I like that they make you earn it.

For the millionth time...your icon makes me die a little on the inside. Oh goodness.

But "Over At The Frankenstein Place" is on the Rocky Horror Punk Rock Show that I want to get ANYWAY!

And the icon came from [livejournal.com profile] fasteronfire525. She let me swipe it.

Remix of "Fine Without You" (oh how I love that song) is worth it though. This week...

Do you know, there's a clerk at Guitar Center in Manchester who looks an awful lot like the Skiba. You ought to come visit me sometime and we'll go on the pretext of buying beginner guitar books for my daughter and you can see if you can get his number or something!

Oh man, I seriously love that song! My favorite band covering my favorite song from one of my favorite movies? Life can't get any better. Except when I am compelled to yell the call lines from the movie at the song. Alone. In my car.

That remix makes me want to pay people to make more Alkaline remixes. Now that I know it can be done sans sucking.

Oooooh. Sounds good...road trip!!!
