Would someone explain to me WHY there was a spatter-pattern on the INSIDE of the glass doors of the china cabinet?

I am forced to assume it was a catastrophic booze spillage.

It's also possible that it's been there since we moved into this house nearly nine years ago, and I just got around to seeing it now.

But I was able to grab the trusty bottle of Greased Lightning and a microfiber cleany cloth -- reuseable, the way [livejournal.com profile] noelfigart emphasizes. They didn't have any in the household cleaning section at Target, only disposable wipes with various solutions in 'em, but they had packs of 'em cheap in the automotive section, yay! Anyway, there are no more spots on the china cabinet doors.

Then I grabbed another cleany cloth and the bottle of Murphy's Oil Soap and wiped down the display shelf, and, while was at it, the front of the cabinet beneath it.

When this break is up, I'll finally get to unwrapping the Asian-pottery tea set and putting it on the display shelf.

A sake set, a couple of decanters, and various other booze-oriented doodads are on the open shelf above the bar area in the wall unit.

I WILL get this room organized. I'm just being a little spazzy about it, and every time [livejournal.com profile] shadowflyer comes in to look at it and comment on it, I chase him out, because I am still not entirely sure where everything goes, and I DON'T WANT SUGGESTIONS.

Don't tell his mom that we're putting a decorative plate that neither of us likes on eBay, OK?

I like those microfiber cloths too. Not the paper kind, but the thick fabric chef's kind. Awesome for housework and wash like a breeze.
