rikibeth: (Muffinatrix -- angeldess)
First of all, I replaced the bulb in my sunrise clock, so I was at work by about 5:30, instead of 5:45. It makes a difference.

I remembered to bring my good offset serrated knife AND the knife sharpener, too. The Dexter-Russell serrated is going to live there for the foreseeable future, which means [livejournal.com profile] shadowflyer can't use it to trim down drum brushes any more.

We don't get major supplier deliveries on Wednesdays, so no time loss checking in the order, this time.

I remembered to re-stock the bar cookie case while the scones were baking, before the brioche could go in, so that meant I didn't have to do it later.

I put the bacon in to cook pretty much as soon as the muffins came out, so it was ready and drained by the time I needed it.

I didn't have to slice any deli meat today. That helped.

And I only had to make three new salads -- Southwest chicken, black bean corn, and a fresh batch of the vinegared cucumbers. Not the five I had to do Monday.

No new soup today. They said my chicken soup was very good. It ought to be -- I've only been making it unsupervised for, what, seventeen years now?

Oh, and Southwest chicken salad and black bean corn salad have the same veggie mix in them -- peppers, red onions, scallions -- so I could dice them all at once. Handy.

Wednesday is also not a solo day. Jen was in around 8:30 or 9 AM, doing baking things, and so she was there to guide me on the things I hadn't done before, and also just to TALK to, so I didn't have the panic voice in my head.

I was out by 12:30. Go me!
