Had to go to the grocery store...

to pick up potatoes and onions because guess who hasn't been cooking at home and so hadn't noticed they'd gone icky.

While I was there, I glanced down the aisle with the summer merchandise. I was a GOOD GIRL and did not buy the snow cone maker. Although I love snow cones. Cherry snow cones. And, you know, snow cones at home could have BOOZE in them, and that would be really good.

I also spotted a one-quart electric ice cream maker for $29.99.

I found myself thinking, "I wonder if the boss would let me get one for the store?"

*smacks self*

A good idea you got too late, love. You can't well start making ice cream after Labor Day.

And why not? :-)

I won't rat if you don't :-)

Cheers,
Andrew (that one, yes.)

You can start making icecream after Labor Day. Just not white icecream. Coffee, strawberry, fine; vanilla or lemon sorbet - uh-uh.

Mmm... Chambord cones... yummmmm...
With lemon, I think, to offset the heavy sweetness.

Ice cream makers are bound to be on eBay in the scads... My mom always averred that ice cream tasted better in the winter, too. I think she's right.

Mmmmm.... Snow cones with BOOZE. Fantastic idea :)

Booze cones with snow even.

I'm imagining a new way to serve aircraft fuel ...

*snort*

The first time I tasted Drambuie, I thought it tasted like jet fuel with honey.

Now, of course, I think "if that's what jet fuel with honey tastes like, I'll take it." :-)

That'd work too :)
