I have long felt that I am one of few people who uses Facebook for what it was arguably originally intended for -- networking. And pictures. I do not approve of 99% of the applications out there, and I on occasion make very grumpy status posts about being subjected to three hundred quiz results over the course of two days from a hundred and eighty two different people. It has drawbacks, yes, but I do love Facebook -- I love that I feel like it keeps me connected with people who otherwise would all too easily fall out of my life. If you can keep it under control and not give into all the stupid time wastey, TMI, gratuitous absolutely pointless nonsense, I would advise it. It's not all bad over there.
And I too do not "blog" on Facebook. I also prefer to keep my Twittering, LiveJournaling, and Facebooking as separate as possible.
