No packing. Just details.

Iggy the Silver Tank Brick is gone. I kissed him goodbye.

All the utility disconnects are scheduled.

I've talked to [livejournal.com profile] pixel about getting his and [livejournal.com profile] andrianna's cars out of the driveway. They just came to take pictures. they're going up on Craigslist tonight as "here, come get them, TAKE THEM AWAY" and if nobody bites, they'll get rid of them before the drop dead date.

I've scheduled a dumpster for Monday.

The U-Haul reservation is confirmed for a pickup time tomorrow.

I've ordered a washer and dryer to be delivered to the new place on the 10th.

All the cookbooks are mailed out. So are biscotti for [livejournal.com profile] the_red_shoes. So's my ceramic desk set with the sunbonnet girls on them -- I am sending them back to the friend of the family who made them for me when I was seven, so she can give them to her kindergarten-aged granddaughter.

Shelby, my wonderful insurance agent at AAA, is getting me quotes for renters' insurance.

I've gotten a BJ's Warehouse membership so we can get discount gas. And possibly discount heating oil for the winter. I have to research that more.

I shredded some more papers.

I Freecycled a crate of wooden building blocks.

All the stuff at the curb is gone.

[livejournal.com profile] eternaleponine's laundry is dry and folded.

I ordered sushi for dinner.

I have no brain.

*phew*

Cudos on the BJs membership. Be warned, however, that just because it's at BJs doesn't mean you can't get it cheaper at a regular store. This goes for the gas as well - most of the time it's cheaper, but sometimes it's not worth it to drive all the way there. YMMV...

I have been a member before. I know the traps, and I am a fiend for unit pricing.

As for the gas, the store is very convenient to the new place, so it seemed worth it to make it the regular fill-up location.

BJ's is also good for cheap propane tank refills too. FYI, we travel to NY alot, there is a BJ's with cheap gas (especially compared to the Pike or all of NYS) just off the Chicopee exit. Stay to the right after the tolls, take a left at the light then make a U-turn to reach the BJ's entrance.

WOW! I'm impressed! I'll forgive the fact that nothing got packed, since everything else got taken care of!

And all I did was sit at work like a useless lump all day. :(

I hear on NPR that you can donate unwanted cars to them and they take them away free of charge.

Iggy went to the National Kidney Foundation. The Comet parts car and Ace don't have titles which makes donating them sticky.

It's going parcel post (7 days) because it's a rather large box and Priority Mail was a bloody fortune, but biscotti are sort of already stale, and if they seem not crisp enough just pop them in a low oven for ten minutes or so.

//swoons DUDE. A RATHER LARGE box? T will DIE. (Hell, I also just dunk them in my tea/T dunks them in his coffee!)

Bella, I keep telling you, those are the ones from the loaf ends that are too short to sell at the same price as the ones from the middle, so they're just EXTRAS, and nobody in my house likes anise! I am glad you enjoy them!

[identity profile] faithhopetricks.livejournal.com 2007-07-06 11:30 pm (UTC)(link)
d00d, when they arrive in this house, they are MANNA, I tell you. Also, T makes sure we ration them out so they're not gone the first 2 days!

//boggles at how someone could not like anise
