Your theory on "deep tracks" makes sense to me. I would have gotten #14 just because that's an album I've played a LOT at work since buying it on CD, but I wouldn't even have necessarily gotten #24, which is on another of my constant companions, because I don't usually pay attention until the chorus.
#14 is on an album so famous that other artists have copied the jacket design for their own works -- I was greatly amused when I saw a k.d. lang album with the traditional black-and-white photo and lettering in green and pink, although the photo and words were not at all the same.
